COVID-19 cases among children in the United States have increased by 32% compared to the figures two weeks ago, suggest new data published by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
For the week ending November 18, about 141,905 new COVID-19 infections were reported among children. Kids represented over one-fourth of all new cases during the past week. Cases for every age group have shown an upward trend in the recent week. While the cases declined quickly after a summer surge, they began rising again and have now reached the levels last seen in the month of August.
